The chief objectives of Accredia’s activities are to raise the awareness of businesses and consumers of the value of declarations of conformity, to broaden the synergy between the public and private sectors, to step up the competences and numbers of assessors for handling larger and more complex areas.
From 2022 to 2023 the number of accredited CABs rose up from 2,263 to 2,302. This reflects market recognition of the system of certifications, inspections, environmental verifications, tests, medical analyses and calibrations undertaken under accreditation.
Assessment activities performed also increased compared to 2022, reaching 20,541 audit days worked by 611 qualified assessors and experts.
Assessors worked about 8,400 days to audit 690 accredited bodies for carrying out certifications, inspections and verifications.
Over 11,000 assessment days done by assessors verifying 1,397 accredited laboratories for conducting tests, medical analyses and interlaboratory tests.
Almost 900 assessment days done by assessors verifying 215 accredited laboratories for conducting calibrations and measurement in the medical field and producing reference materials.
Strengthen the awareness of the value of accredited services in businesses and consumers, create more synergy between public and private, increase assessors’ competences, support the performance of accredited bodies and laboratories.
