The study links accreditation to the international standard UNI EN ISO 45001:2023 and the reduction in workplace accidents. The report, based on data from 2017-2021 from the Accredia database and the INAIL database, shows a lower accident rate at certified companies, equal to 22.6% for all activities, with results varying widely depending on the economic sector: in the chemical sector, the reduction can reach up to 40.9%. Overall, the reductions in both the frequency and severity of accidents, which average 29.2% lower at certified companies, are significant in key, high-risk sectors, such as construction.
