Simona Quinzi is the new Director General of Accredia

A manager with over 25 years’ experience within the Confindustria system, she succeeds Filippo Trifiletti, who is stepping down from the organization’s leadership after 17 years.

Simona Quinzi is the new General Director of Accredia, the Italian accreditation body designated by the Italian Government to assess the competence, impartiality and independence of bodies and laboratories that verify the conformity of products, services, processes, systems and personnel with reference standards.

The organization’s Executive Committee, accepting the proposal put forward by its President, Prof. Massimo De Felice, unanimously approved her appointment with effect from 7 September, meaning she will take over from the current General Director, Filippo Trifiletti.

“Taking on the role of General Director of Accredia is a great honour and a significant responsibility for me. I shall bring to the Organization the experience I have gained within the Confindustria system and through engagement with businesses, associations, institutions and the public administration, in order to further consolidate the role of accreditation as a trusted infrastructure for the country. Together with the organization’s governing bodies, Accredia’s professional staff and our stakeholders, we will seize the opportunities presented by technological and digital transformation and address the challenges of sustainability, keeping pace with market developments and supporting businesses and public administrations in their innovation and growth processes,” said the new General Director of Accredia, Simona Quinzi.

Accredia, together with its governing bodies and the entire organization, extends its heartfelt thanks to Filippo Trifiletti, who is stepping down as General Director after 17 years, for his expertise, dedication and decisive contribution to the organization’s establishment, growth and success within the national and European accreditation system.
